GEICO IS EVIL!/January 30, 2007 Geico is evil. I officially hate them. Do any of you have Geico insurance? If so, I suggest you switch providers, otherwise you might some day be faced with what they've done to my boyfriend. A few nights ago, Erik was pulled over by a-GASP!-friendly police officer because the light bulb above his license plate was burnt out, leaving his plate in darkness. Erik hadn't even realized it had burnt out. Anyway, when the police officer ran his license and registration, guess what they both found out? His license had been suspended because he had NO insurance! Had the police officer been any other typical "pig," my boyfriend would have been arrested on the spot and taken away. The nice police officer just wrote in the report that the driver was unaware that his insurance had been canceled. GEICO HAD CANCELED HIS INSURANCE COVERAGE WITHOUT NOTIFYING HIM!!! They obviously don't give a shit about their customers' well-being or safety. Thank God he hadn't gotten into an accident. He received three HUGE tickets thanks to their lack of responsibility and proper customer service. When Erik called them to find out what the hell happened, they didn't have an answer for him. They literally said, "WE DON'T KNOW," and kept him waiting for a response for four days while they "investigated." Meanwhile, Erik has had a terrible time finding rides to and from school. Geico finally got back to him today and claim they have two copies of letters on file that were supposedly sent to him regarding the cancellation of his coverage. So, it took them FOUR DAYS to search for his file? It took them FOUR DAYS to locate TWO measley letters that they claim were sent? I BEG TO DIFFER. I don't care how many copies they claim they have. Erik never received anything in the mail. They are filthy liars and I hope their business goes under. They probably realized, during their "investigation," that they had fucked up and didn't want to be held responsible for so greatly inconveniencing a long time customer- because, they can be held responsible for many hardships they have caused him. They are going to mail him the copies. I'm going to speak to an attorney. The BEST part is, they have NO reason for cancelling his coverage. Their policy claims that they reserve the right to cancel anyone's coverage at any time. How is that for customer service? Beware of Geico. They can not be trusted. No one can convince me that it takes FOUR days to find ONE file and locate TWO letters. They can go screw themselves. So yeah, how's that for venting? 3 comments so far |
