Growing Up/February 15, 2007 Saturday is my best friend's baby shower. She is having her first child. I have known my best friend since we were six years old. I am still in denial that she is really married and due to give birth in a few weeks. Sometimes I still see her as the shy, curly-haired girl whom I used to walk to high school with almost every morning. I still have a Christmas present she gave me when we were in the first grade!!! Have we really grown up so much already? I miss being a kid. Time has gone by so quickly. Two of my best friends are already married and have children. I guess that means I'm next. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!! ::: How was everyone's Valentine's Day? Mine was very simple. Erik and I stayed home and had homemade chili, while watching Eddy Murphy's HBO stand-up "Delirious." I hadn't laughed that much in ages. As for presents, I got him the Eddy Murphy DVD and he got me the cutest stuffed animal of a cocker spaniel puppy. It looks so real. I named him "Skippy," because I am five years old! ::: Last November, my aunt bought my cousin and I, for our birthday, an all-day pass for a local spa. We made our appointment for Sunday. I'm so excited. We went once about two years ago for our birthday, so this will make the second time. We get a 50-minute Swedish massage in a private room with aromatherapy candles and soft music playing and a 40-minute pedicure. Plus, we can take any exercise class (i.e. yoga, water aerobics, etc.) for free and use all of the indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, sun decks and steam rooms. They also have showers and provide us with a nutritious lunch. You basically get to live like royalty for a day. It's really VERY relaxing. The massage leaves you feeling new. I really need it. Since I have Scoliosis, my back is pretty much always in pain. Some days are worst than others, depending on the weather or what type of physical activity I take part in. ::: Here is a random picture just because:
