Will Live In Spa For Free/February 20, 2007

The baby shower on Saturday went swimmingly. My friends and I played games, shared some laughs and took pictures galore. I know in my heart that my best friend is going to make a wonderful mother. I'm excited for the arrival of their bundle of joy. She's having a girl. I've already nicknamed her- she's my "muffin."

On Sunday, my cousin and I spent the day in luxury at the spa. The second we walked in through the door, we were met with a deliciously relaxing scent and soothing music. Everything, from the massage to the hot tub and the sauna, was just what the doctor ordered for me. I got the de-stressing (yes, I know that isn't a word) I needed. As a plus, I purchased a coconut-scented bar of soap from their gift shop and it smells heavenly.

It was sad that the day had to end. If offered the chance I'd move into the locker room. That place is just wonderful. Serenity engulfs you and you forget about things like the time, responsibilities, finances and drama. It felt good to spend a day with a clear head.

Erik and I have decided to put our Disney trip on hold for a while. Neither of us have vacation time from our jobs yet and we'd prefer to go to Orlando when we can stay for a few days an enjoy more than one theme park and time away. Instead, we've decided to just find a nice bed and breakfast for a weekend and spend some quality time together. We want to relax and sleep in late and not deal with the usual drama that goes on in our homes. We plan to go some time next month if nothing interferes with our plans. Wish us luck.
